Pet Fest Kalispell 2025: Flathead Valley’s Newest Tradition for Pet Lovers
Looking for something fun to do with your furry friend this weekend? Head over to Kalispell for the 1st Annual Pet Fest, happening on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 10 AM to 3 PM at the Flathead County Fairgrounds Expo Building.
This brand-new event is designed for animal lovers of all ages, bringing the community together to celebrate pets, promote animal welfare, and enjoy a full day of interactive activities, giveaways, and tail-wagging fun.
🎪 What to Expect at Kalispell Pet Fest
Admission is free for all—families, individuals, and pets included! Whether you’re a seasoned pet owner or just love being around animals, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
✅ Free Vaccines & Microchipping
The Humane Society of Western Montana will be on-site offering free core vaccines (including rabies) and microchipping for your pets. No appointment necessary—just bring your pet’s vaccination records if you have them.
🐶 Adoptable Pets from Local Rescues
More than seven local shelters and rescues will be present with adorable adoptables. It’s a great chance to meet animals in need of loving homes or connect with local rescue organizations.
🥫 Pet Food Drive
Support local rescues by bringing unopened bags or cans of dog and cat food. Every donation goes directly to animals in need.
🎁 Vendor Booths, Raffles & Giveaways
Explore booths offering pet-related products, free samples, educational resources, and raffle prizes. Local businesses will be there to share helpful tips, tools, and treats.
🍴 Food Trucks
A variety of food trucks will be serving up delicious bites throughout the day, so there’s plenty to enjoy while you walk around with your pet.

Think your dog has a hidden talent or loves to show off? The Doggie Olympics offers friendly, fun competitions for pets of all shapes and sizes.

10:30 AM – Best Dressed Pet
Costumes are encouraged! Dress up your pet (and yourself, if you’d like) for a chance to win top style points. -
11:00 AM – Best Pet Trick
Show off your dog’s best trick—judged based on creativity, difficulty, and presentation. -
11:30 AM – Peanut Butter Lick
A hilarious race to see which pup can lick a spoon of peanut butter clean the fastest. -
12:30 PM – Babe Ruth Obedience Race
A playful take on baseball—dogs must perform commands at different “bases” as fast as they can. -
1:00 PM – Timed Agility Course
Navigate tunnels, weave poles, and hoops in a fun obstacle course. Fastest times win medals! -
2:00 PM – Wacky Wiener Dog Dash
A dachshund-only race with age-based categories:-
Little Smokies (3 years and under)

2:30 PM – Animal Wonders Presentation
A live, educational wildlife show that’s perfect for animal lovers of all ages.
